Application Req.
1. A desire to evangelize and ease the emotional pain and suffering of humanity.
2. To provide service under the covering of a legally organized/operated local church or nationally recognized denomination.
3. To complete a curriculum which teaches Temperament Theory/Therapy and offers continuing training for the counselor.
4. To demonstrate a reasonable level of psychological wellness, stability and fitness to work as a mental health professional.
After completion of all requirements (including submission of all required documents) and based upon the student’s highest degree level, the student is then eligible for membership in the National Christian Counselors Association and will receive one of the following certificates/licenses:
Certified Pastoral Counselor – no degree/licensed minister
Licensed Pastoral Counselor – Bachelors/licensed minister
Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor – Degree
Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor – Masters
Licensed Clinical Pastor Counselor – Advanced Certification Doctorate
Faith Fellowship Ministries School of Christian Counseling reserves the right to withhold or deny a counseling license to any individual with a previous history of mental/psychological disorders, under current medication or treatment for psychological disorders, or displaying evidence of psychological illness.
Continuing education is required for annual certification or license renewal. Annual evaluation of Psychological Wellness is required for license renewal
